paper products

We use our very own Robin Recato’s print shop. Equipped with 7 printers and 4 different printing methods, we’re able to produce a variety of stickers, poster/postcard prints (up to A3 size), and even packaging. With almost a decade of experience in print production, you’re sure to receive good quality in every piece that comes out of our store.

Before we pack and store the products, we check for faults that may detract from your viewing pleasure. We try our best to remove poorly laminated (kinks, dust) and bad prints (visible lines, discoloration, scratches) from our stock and we employ 3 different checks to hopefully cut back quality issues.

The first check happens right when Robin finishes printing and laminating. To save on resources, time and energy, she immediately removes problematic pieces from progressing through the production process.

The second check is on packing for storage. Each piece is inserted in their own packaging when necessary, and then sent for storage.

The final check is right before shipping. We inspect products to see if there are issues that came from storing them.

We try to package each piece with rigid card or chip board to ensure your product survives shipping. We may box your order depending on volume. For any exchange, return and refunds, please check our Returns & Exchange policy.

metal pins & charms

We use multiple manufacturers from China to produce our pins and charms depending on the style and type we need. These are often handmade apart from the molding creation process; this means people handle the metal impressions, color, filling in colors, sanding, plating, printing (screen & UV) and finishing.

Having worked with some of them for over 5 years, we value our relationship with these craftsmen. We know what they do best, the possible flaws and flaw rate to expect, and how to effectively communicate with them despite the language barrier.

We grade each piece sent to us from our manufacturers on top of their own quality checking. While the product we receive rarely quality that cannot be worn, we ourselves have a higher standard for each pin we consider full price.

We grade each piece in order with these standards:

  • Overall Look
  • Visible Erosion
  • Bubbling in the Color
  • Dust in the Color
  • Distracting Scratches/Marks
  • Sanding Issues (not smooth, deep gouges, uneven sanding)
  • Printing Issues (unclear, doubling, dust)
  • Plating Issues (bubbles, uneven plating, lifting)
  • Finishing Issues (orange peeling, excess resin)

This is an involved process and usually takes time and energy since we can scrutinize hundreds of individual items. After checking, we give a letter grade to the pin or charm.

  • S/CC – Collector Grade, there may be faults but they are not visible at 2-3 inches away. Intended to keep in a collection, not for wearing.
  • A+ – High Wearable Grade, there may be faults but they are not visible at 5-6 inches away (viewing distance). These are sold at Full Price.
  • A – Standard Wearable Grade, faults are visible at 5-6 inches away but will not be distracting. These are sold at Full Price.
  • A – Average Wearable Grade, faults are visible at 5-6 inches away, are more visible than A grade, but not too distracting. These are sold at Full Price and may be included in Random Bags.
  • B – Sale Wearable Grade, faults are very visible and distracting. These are sold at a lower price and are often in Random Bags.
  • C – Freebie Grade, these have really distracting faults and we’re not comfortable in selling them (sometimes even giving them as freebies).

We do not include the grade in your order & allow exchanges for non-random orders as long as you cover all necessary shipping. We will inspect your pin or charm, regrade them, and then give you one that’s a higher grade on availability. If a higher grade is not available, we will send your pin back and/or offer a refund.

ACRYLIC PRODUCTS

We partner with different local Philippine print shops to produce acrylic products and displays. Most of these places offer cutting, engraving and UV printing directly on the acrylic themselves. Picking out suppliers and supplies is a significant step for us and this means we assemble the finished product ourselves.

We check each piece multiple times and employ a similar system to our paper products, and grading system similar to the metal ones.

The first check starts when we receive our shipment. However, because these are UV printed, we offer a lot more leniency towards each piece. Usually our A+/A grade pieces might have print lines or are grainier than usual.

The second check is when we pack the pieces for storage, and the final check is before shipping.

Here are the letter grades for our acrylic products:

  • S/CC – Collector Grade, print looks smooth within 2-3 inches viewing distance and there are no faults. Intended to keep in a collection.
  • A+ – High Grade, print may have visible lines/grain within 2-3 inches viewing distance and minor faults. Worn/displayed, sold at full.
  • A – Standard Grade, print may have lines/grain within 5-6 inches viewing distance and faults. Worn/displayed, sold at full.
  • A- – Average Grade, print has lines/grain within 5-6 inches viewing distance and minor distracting faults. Worn/displayed, sold at full and may be in random bags.
  • B – Sale Grade, print has lines/grain within 5-6 inches of viewing distance and distracting faults. Worn/displayed, sold at full and will be in random bags.
  • C – Freebie Grade, bad printing quality and very distracting faults that we’re not comfortable selling them (or sometimes giving them out).

We do not give you the pin grade in your purchase. Exchanging is only allowed for non-random or sale orders and if you will cover all necessary shipping. We will regrade your pin upon reception and will send out a better grade upon availability. If a better grade is not available, we will return your pin and/or offer a refund.

SHIRTS & TEXTILE PRODUCTS

We use both Robin’s and other print shops for our textile products. For sublimated products, Robin can create many products like light shirts, lanyard keylaces, fans, tote bags and other tote products, and event wristbands. For prints that need white, we order it out from other local Philippine print shops.

From the supplies to the finished product, we are fairly hand’s on with the process. However, for things made outside of Robin’s control, we give higher tolerances for mistakes especially with when white ink is involved. We also do not sew our own products and buy from distributors and local producers if possible.

These products are not as strictly graded as they are meant for wear and tear, sometimes even temporarily.

CERAMIC PRODUCTS

Our mugs and coasters are made by Robin. We also work with local ceramic manufacturers for custom products.

We use paper packaging (newspaper, honeycomb wrap) and cardboard boxes to ship these. There have been minimal casualties with our shipping method, but we will replace or refund if they did not arrive safely.
